There is a unique set of skills to restore something. The details required to complete a proper return to glory are far different then those required for a custom creation. Sourcing of parts that have not been produced for many years takes a certain detective quality. Evaluating reproduction parts to endure that they are a proper representation of the original items. There are different levels of restoration that can be achieved. A sympathetic build that will honor the spirit of the original item while updating certain things to make the bike easier to ride and use. A concours restoration that will put the bike back to the day that it left the factory. This is a very involved and tedious process as every nut and bolt and accessory must be period correct. And there are levels of restoration between these two points. After completing a number of classic British sports car restorations we have the skills and patience to bring that classic back to life.
After many hours, and many challenges a basket case like this becomes a showpiece of history.
Along the way there are challenges due to the condition of the irreplaceable piece and a strategy to repair must be implemented.
